About Me

Dina Bratanovic is a native of the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas area. This will be her 5th year teaching drum majors, with experience teaching a large variety of students with different backgrounds. Ms. Bratanovic has taught drum majors in the DFW metroplex through partnerships with schools, clinics, and students nationwide through virtual lessons. Ms. Bratanovic gained her drum major and conducting knowledge by being a drum major for three years at the Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps, two years as a drum major at Marcus High School in Flower Mound, TX., and earning her Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from the University of North Texas. She has experience being a drum major from all positions on the field, including side/assistant, backfield, and front field (in charge of time or “head”), and is able to assist all of her students thoroughly due to her background.

Ms. Bratanovic is passionate about making the experience of being a drum major a positive one for everyone involved — the drum majors themselves, the directors, and the ensemble. She believes in a conducting technique that is anatomy friendly and supports energy conservation, with the goal of preventing common drum major injuries and pain. This conducting technique is still very clean, crisp, and clear for the ensemble to read and gain information from. Ms. Bratanovic is dedicated to fostering positive team dynamics, personal growth, and helping her students excel at their jobs while being able to enjoy being a drum major.

Ms. Bratanovic currently resides in Highland Village, TX with her 2 year old cat named Binks. She is pursuing a dual master’s degree (MBA and MHA) from Texas Woman’s University, as well as working as a hospital pharmacy technician with Texas Health Resources. Intentionally, her degree is online and her position at the hospital is prn or “as needed”, which allows her the flexibility to work with groups locally and nationwide. She is devoted to working with programs to make things work, both time-wise and financially.

“The U Factor”

Since 2021, I have been teaching drum major candidates and drum majors in a variety of settings. From in-person clinics to virtual lessons to working with schools in the DFW metroplex, I have worked with hundreds of students. However, my range was limited due to being a full-time college student with my undergraduate degree and maintaining several jobs. The ideas for “The U Factor” started coming to me during September 2025, when I knew I wanted to expand my reach and influence once I graduated from UNT’s College of Music and would have increased flexibility in my schedule. I started creating my pricing, logo, discounts, bundles, registered with the county, and all the other things that this process entails.

The name for “The U Factor” comes from the concept of being Undeniable. It is a word and a topic that was frequently used at the Blue Devils, the drum corps that I served as a drum major with for 3 years during 2022, 2023, and 2024. Become so good at your craft that you feel, look, and are undeniable. That is what I aim to help all of my students in doing, regardless of what their long-term goals may be.
